IPL 2022, Match 5, Weather Forecast for SRH vs RR: Weather near Wankhede Stadium on March 29

Both teams look pretty strong on paper and they don't have any major downtime issues either.

Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 Game 5 will see Sunrisers Hyderabad take on Rajasthan Royals at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. Both sides will kick off their campaign with this clash, and it goes without saying that they will want to get off to a winning start. Notably, both sides got a massive overhaul at last month's Mega Auction and their lineups would be one to watch.

Both teams look pretty solid on paper and don't have major downtime issues, unlike many franchises. Kane Williamson is set to lead the Orange Army again, but this time he won't have the help of David Warner, Jonny Bairstow or Rashid Khan. SRH retained its Indian contingent with the likes of Abdul Samad, Umran Malik, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Abhishek Sharma and T Natarajan in the ranks.

However, the overseas unit is very different with the arrival of Nicholas Pooran and Aiden Markram. The team looks pretty formidable on paper, but the players need to tap into their potential to get SRH over the line. As far as RR goes, they were one of the most impressive teams in the auction.

While skipper Sanju Samson, Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal were RR's mandatory retainers, they bought big guns like Shimron Hetmyer, Ravichandran Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal and Trent Boult at the mega auction. It's a good mix of youth and experience in the team and as a result many support the Men in Pink to go far.

In the meantime, here's a look at how the weather will behave in the SRH vs RR clash:

Luckily for the fans, the rain will continue to stay away from IPL matches this season. The game starts at 7:30 p.m.  Therefore, the weather conditions would be quite favorable for cricket. However, the dew factor is likely to play a role in the second half of the game. This means that going bowling will continue to be the mantra of winning pitching captains.
